There are quite a few plants over the years we have started to consider our favorites. This is one!
From personal and professional experience we highly recommend using red twig dogwoods in landscaping. These beautiful plants offer an exciting burst of color with their bright red branches, making them a perfect addition to winter landscapes. They are also versatile and can be used in a variety of ways, such as hedges, borders, or focal points. Red twig dogwoods can grow up to 10 feet tall and wide, but they can be pruned to maintain a smaller size. They prefer full sun to partial shade and thrive in moist to wet soils. However, they can tolerate a range of soil types, including heavy clay and sandy soils. In addition, they are often attractive to birds and other wildlife, making them a great choice for eco-friendly landscapes.
This red twig was planted last year and is thriving this spring. While we loved seeing the beautiful red branches, the vibrant green leaves helped welcome the new season.
