We’re thrilled to share our recent landscape installation project in the charming town of Skiatook, Oklahoma. Nestled amidst the rolling hills and serene beauty of this area, we had the pleasure of transforming a backyard into a breathtaking oasis that perfectly complements the natural surroundings.
BEFORE & AFTER
Plant Selection: The heart of this landscape design centered around a harmonious blend of native and ornamental plants. To infuse a touch of vibrancy, we carefully integrated a beautiful combination of Pink Muhley grass, Salvia, and Knockout Roses. These choices not only add a burst of color but also thrive in the Skiatook climate.
For an elegant touch, we included Abelia shrubs, known for their graceful arching branches and delicate blooms. To provide a delightful fragrance and a touch of grandeur, we incorporated Jane Magnolias, whose large, fragrant blossoms capture the essence of southern charm.
Mulching Magic: Ensuring the health and longevity of our plant choices, we employed a layer of Cypress mulch. Not only does it offer superior moisture retention and weed suppression, but the deep, rich hue also contrasts splendidly with the vibrant flora, creating a visual feast for the eyes.
Landscape Lighting: To extend the magic of this landscape beyond daylight hours, we embraced low voltage landscape lighting. Strategically placed fixtures gently illuminate the garden, casting a soft and inviting glow on the plants, pathways, and architectural elements. This not only enhances the nighttime beauty but also provides an element of safety and security.
In the heart of Skiatook, OK, a landscape once untouched now stands as a testament to the beauty that can be woven from the threads of flora and design. This project not only reflects our passion for creating outdoor sanctuaries but also serves as an ode to the captivating allure of nature’s wonders.
