While this project took us out of our typical service area in Bartlesville, the allure of completing the whole home was too tantalizing to pass up!
The Heart of the Home: Kitchen Remodel
This kitchen was part of a full home remodel for an out-of-state investor who was preparing the property for future rental use. The original space was closed off and dated, but we reimagined it into an open, bright, and modern hub for the home.
Before:
The previous kitchen was enclosed by a partial wall and had an unnecessary walkthrough from the entryway, making it feel cramped and disconnected from the rest of the house.
After:
We removed the partial wall, creating an open-concept space that flows seamlessly into the living area. We also enlarged the kitchen window, allowing more natural light to flood the room and enhance the open, airy feel. The result is a bright, inviting kitchen that’s perfect for cooking, dining, and entertaining.
The Process
Working with an out-of-state client presented unique challenges, but we embraced the opportunity to roll with the punches through many change orders and shifts in direction. Our goal was to bring the client’s vision to life while ensuring the space would be functional and appealing to future tenants.
While we usually aim to complete our remodels and builds as quickly as possible, this project took a bit more time. The additional effort was well worth it, as we believe the final result is truly spectacular.
Finishes and Details
- Walls and Ceilings: Painted in City Loft (SW 7631), this neutral color provides a soft, sophisticated backdrop for the kitchen.
- Trim and Interior Doors: Accented with Pure White (SW 7005), adding a crisp, clean contrast to the walls and ceilings.
- Cabinets: White Dove (OC-17) cabinets offer a timeless and elegant look, enhancing the overall brightness of the space.
- Countertops: The luxurious “Stella Gold” MetroQuartz countertops provide a stunning focal point with their subtle gold veining and durable surface.
- Backsplash: A classic 4×12 White Subway Tile from Emser completes the look, adding texture and depth to the kitchen design.
