From carefully chosen trim pieces to hidden lighting, we added every detail to make this home feel cohesive and inviting:
- Cabinet Trim and Lighting: Custom trim conceals the new under-cabinet lighting, blending with the cabinetry for a seamless look.
- Fresh Paint Colors:
- The hallway and bedroom walls are a calming SW 6800 “Something Blue”, while doors and trim in Extra White add crisp contrast.
- Kitchen Cabinetry: Lower cabinets in SW 9161 “Dust Blu” and interiors in Snowbound White create a soft, clean palette, while upper cabinets in Snowbound add brightness.
- Bathroom walls are painted in a soothing blue to create a relaxing atmosphere, paired with a white vanity and trim.
Durable, Family-Friendly Flooring
Durable, easy-to-clean vinyl plank flooring (EMCORE™ 20 MIL VINYL PLANK “Oxford Ojai”) was installed in the primary and secondary bedrooms, hallways, kitchen, and bathrooms. With a vapor barrier and trim, it’s ready for daily use.
A Bathroom with Both Style and Function
To make this family’s bathroom both beautiful and practical, we added:
- Cultured Marble Shower: Extending to the ceiling with a convenient bench and storage niche, this shower feels open and elegant.
- Custom Vanity: The 48″ shaker-style vanity with soft-close drawers pairs with a matching marble countertop and rectangular sink.
- Classic Wainscoting: Surrounding the walls for a touch of timeless charm and warmth.

A Stunning Kitchen Transformation
We transformed the kitchen with some functional and beautiful updates:
- Quartz Countertops: The Luce Oro MetroQuartz countertops bring elegance and durability to the space. Learn more about quartz from one of our favorites, Bob Vila.
- Ruvati Workstation Sink: This 28″ stainless steel workstation sink is practical, versatile, and perfect for busy family life.
- Bright Backsplash and Updated Lighting: We chose Victoria “Blanc” ceramic tile from The Tile Shop, paired with Polar White grout for a crisp, clean look. Satin Nickel schluter metal edging adds a subtle, polished finish that complements the Delta Capertee pull-down faucet, while under-cabinet lighting brings out the brightness.

Curb Appeal with Exterior Updates
Outside, we made key updates to match the home’s new interior:
- Retaining Wall & Exterior Paint: We carefully rebuilt the retaining wall with mortar and capped it with concrete blocks. Shutters, soffit, and fascia got a fresh white coat for a clean look.
- Front Porch: A cheerful SW 6910 Daisy Yellow ceiling adds a pop of color that the family loves.
